Reviews of this Apartment
Because of its beautiful courtyard and classic Parisian exterior, you'll fall in love with the apartment even before
stepping inside. Upon opening the front door, a foyer welcomes guests and offers several choices. Step left into
the huge living and dining area. Go straight into the renovated, modern gourmet kitchen or into the enormous
bathroom, which has a shower stall, separate bathtub and sink/vanity area. Step right of the entryway and you'll
find a spacious bedroom that faces a quiet internal courtyard. A second bedroom off the bathroom makes clever
use of space with a high-tech trundle bed, which offers comfortable accommodations to a couple -- or couple of
kids. Plus, don't forget the new, deluxe sofa bed in the living room! And you can rest assured of a quiet night's
sleep, as both bedrooms face interior courtyards. This apartment is also loaded with amenities -- such as a
laundry room with a full-size washer and tumble dryer, and well-stocked American-style kitchen. The living room
features a flat-screen television, a large desk for computer work or Internet surfing and ample, comfortable
seating for the whole gang. The apartment also has plenty of storage for clothing and baggage, which hleps
make this flat feel just like home.

In The Neighborhood
If you're a “foodie”
you'll be in heaven here, with rue des Martyrs literally just around the corner. This amazing
shopping street is filled with markets, trendy shops and cafes now made famous by the New York Times article
that described it as “a slice of village life” that will “satisfy that perennial desire for discovery.” Experiment and find
your favorite spots this local treasure, off the beaten path.
If you like to shop or just peek into windows at the latest styles and fashion, this is the place to be in Paris.
Galleries Lafayette, Printemps and the shops along Boulevard Haussmann are within easy walking distance. Also a
short stroll from 6 rue St. Lazare is the opulent Opera Garnier - just a peek into the lobby is worth the trip. A
stroll to the south (about 15 minutes) along Avenue de l'Opera takes you to the Louvre and on to the river Seine.

Hop on the Metro
Line 12 at Notre Dame de Lorette (just across the street from the apartment!) heads north to romantic
Montmartre or south to the chic seventh arrondissement. Because this apartment is only two metro stops away
from Gare St. Lazare, the entire city is within a short train ride. In fact, four metro lines converge at St. Lazare,
and for day trips to Normandy and Northern France, traveling from here is a breeze.

Don't Miss the Bus
Just two blocks from the apartment, you can pick up the 67 and 74 bus lines at Place St. George. The 67 bus is a
scenic line heading south into the 1st arrondissement before cutting through the Il de la Cite but not before
taking you right past the Louvre. You can also take it north to Pigalle, where travelers can pick up the Montmartre
bus, which navigates the tiny streets of Montmartre. The 74 bus will transport you to ancient city center,
including Notre Dame and trendy the Marais. If you're into shopping, the 74 also drops you right by the BHV
department store.

Meet the Owners
This apartment was carefully chosen and decorated by UK residents Ron and Pauline, who head to Paris as often
as they can while keeping up with their two teen-aged sons. They hope you enjoy their vacation home as much
as they do!
