In the Neighborhood: Located on rue Damrémont, this flat is nestled in a residential part of the 18th
arrondissement, where you will discover many of the daily delights of Parisian living. Visit the local wine shop and
green grocer, cheese shop, florist and even Chinese take-out -- just steps away. Want the hustle of city life?
Walk less than 10 minutes east and explore the winding, tiny streets off rue des Abbesses, visit Sacré Coeur,
and maybe even have a drink at the "Amelie's" café on rue Lepic. Or walk less than 10 minutes south to reach the
bustling Place de Clichy and then take a peek in the Mouin Rouge.
If you're a "foodie," you'll have several choices: On rue Damremont, you'll find the well-known Delmontel
boulangerie/paitisserie just up the street as well as many other local traiteurs with ready-to-go French treats. Or,
you can head over to rue Lepic and stock up on fresh food on this charming street made famous by the movie
"Amelie," where you'll find fresh fish, cheese, baked goods and just about everything else your hungry mind can
imagine. Or head east to the top of rue des Martyrs, a fabulous shopping street described in a 2005

article as "a slice of village life" that will "satisfy that perennial desire for discovery." On Saturday mornings,
you can also head west at Place de Clichy on Boulevard des Batignolles to the organic food market. Let your taste
buds lead the way and find your neighborhood favorites.
If you're traveling with kids: This is a great apartment for families. The immediate neighborhood is filled with
families and the building is generally quiet at night. There are several small parks through the 18th, and of course
the merri-go-rounds at Place des Abbesses and Sacre Coeur are always a hit with the kiddos.

Hop on the Métro
This apartment is located between two métro stops, and is about a five minute walk to either  Métro Line 13 or
Line 12
. The 12 line heads north further into romantic Montmartre or south to the Musée d'Orsay and the chic
seventh arrondissement.
Line 13 will take you south to the Champs Elysees and Les Invalides or north to the
famous Marché aux Puces and the unforgettable St. Denis Basilica.

Don't Miss the Bus
This apartment is well served by two excellent buses, the 95 and 80 - and both run every day of the week until
around midnight. Pick up the 95 and head south to the Louvre. On Saturdays and Sundays, take it to the end of
the line, Porte de Vanves, and check out a great flea market! The 80 will take you across the river Seine at Pont
De L’Alma and stops within a short walk to one of the world’s most popular attractions, the Eiffel Tower. Just a
bit farther south, the 80 line runs next to the impressive École Militaire.

Meet the owners
This elegant flat is owned by a father and daughter team. Daniel, a Louisiana-based doctor, and his daughter
Margaret found this gem several years ago. Margaret, who works in New York City, decorated it with style and
comfort in mind, highlighting its decorative plaster work, decorative fireplaces and gorgeous windows. This family
hopes it brings as much enjoyment to travelers as it does to their own family.
