Constance ● Apartment Description
Welcome to this petite Parisian fantasy land! Here, guests have everything they imagine in a Paris apartment and
neighborhood, from the balcony stretching the length of the apartment to the perfectly romantic decor. Just
imagine coming home after a long day of sight-seeing and walking up rue Lepic, the quintessential, lively Paris
turn onto rue Constance, you're just steps from being home, but this perfectly Parisian side street is a quiet
residential haven. Inside the creating a delightfully well-designed, small space with a place for everything. In the
living room, you'll find the most comfortable couch for lounging and watching TV, but pull out an ingenious
extension and you have a fantastic double bed. In the master bedroom, you'll find a king-sized bed and a full wall
of deep closets -- two nearly-impossible items to find in a Paris apartment! The kitchen's new modern cabinets
disguise all appliances - even a washing machine. You'll find everything is designed with the guest in mind - from
a selection of sharp knives to an array of cookware - you'll want for nothing. The small touches are all here, too,
with lovely linens and bath sheets, a selection of French films on DVD and a full dresser hidden away in a closet
for you to really unpack and make yourself at home. If you need to do a little work while on vacation, no worries
as you have wireless Internet access and a writing desk in the bedroom. If you need to avoid work, we suggest a
glass of wine on the balcony at sunset...or anytime!
In the Neighborhood
Walk 60 seconds and you'll find rue Lepic, and frankly, you could come here everyday and never grow tired of its
shops and energy. Filled with cafés, boulangeries, green grocers, cheese shops, a butcher, a fish monger and a
wine shop, you're free to experience every foodie adventure you can imagine. On the practical side, you also have
two supermarkets, a pharmacy, and several cash machines on rue Lepic. And that's just the tip of the iceberg,
for as you walk uphill on rue Lepic and make a right on rue des Abbesses, you'll find the Parisian dream
continues, as you wind your way through the picturesque streets of Montmartre, filled with boutiques and, of
course, more food shops, cafés and restaurants. You'll be at the foot of the glorious white Sacre Coeur basilica
within a 10-minute walk. Walk off some of that great French food and do the stairs up the hill to the church, or
"cheat" and just take the funicular to the top!
For foodies: Zero possibility of going hungry in this neighborhood. If you can dream it, it's here - from fresh
oysters to cheeses you've never heard of, from fruit tarts nearly too pretty to eat to rotisserie chickens to take
home for dinner. You can find restaurants in all price ranges for all tastes, from seafood at La Mascotte to fresh
and friendly Italian at Pepone to the outrageously big salads topped with heaps of thinly-sliced, garlic-fried
potatoes at Le Relais Gasçon. For romantic evening, try the adorable Les Feuillades.
Hop on the Métro
Your closest stop is Blanche on Métro line 2, but just a quick walk uphill and around the bend is the Abbesses
stop on Métro line 12. The 2 line heads west before curving south to the Champs Élysées. In the other
direction, it drops you at the foot of Pére Lachaise cemetery. The 12 line heads north deeper into romantic
Montmartre or south to the Musée D'Orsay and the chic seventh arrondissement.
Don't Miss the Bus
Just south of Place Blanche you can pick up the 68 bus and head south on a direct route to Galleries Lafayette,
Printemps and the Opéra Garnier, across the river and to a stop that drops you within yards of Musée d’Orsay.
Or, try the 74 bus, which makes it easy to get to sites in the old center of the city, including Notre Dame and the
trendy Marais. Pick it up near the Moulin Rouge and take it to the steps of Hôtel de Ville and the very worthwhile
BHV department store.
Meet the Owners
Mother and son team Nicola and Marcus hail from England and purchased this adorable flat for their families and
to share with guests from around the globe. As aficionados of theater, music and photography, their warm
personalities and natural aesthetic flair shine through the sophisticated decor and give the apartment a welcoming
feel.
