Make yourself at home at this typically Parisian apartment on rue Caulaincourt, one of the loveliest, tree-lined
streets in Montmartre. This spacious apartment is perfectly suited for families and groups, with three separate
bedrooms, a large bathroom with a shower/bath combo, and a separate WC (toilet room). Two large bedrooms
have queen-sized beds and built-in custom closets with lots of storage, while the third bedroom has two twin
beds and a large armoire. The living room area is huge, with a large dining table and buffet on one side and a
comfortable salon area for relaxing. Street views from the windows are perfectly Parisian - pull up a chair and
watch the world go by! If you need to work, no worries! You'll be connected with WiFi Internet access and free
calls to landlines in most countries from the apartment telephone. The architecture along rue Caulaincourt is
irresistible, as are its boutiques, bistros and bakeries! We hope you'll find all you need for a welcoming stay.

In the Neighborhood: Located on rue Caulaincourt, this apartment is nestled in a residential part of the 18th
arrondissement, where you will discover many of the daily delights of Parisian living. Visit the local wine shop and
green grocer, cheese shop, florist -- just steps away. Want the hustle of city life? Walk 5 minutes east and
explore the winding, tiny streets off rue des Abbesses, visit Sacré Coeur, and maybe even have a drink at the
"Amelie's" café on rue Lepic. Or walk less than 10 minutes south to reach the bustling Place de Clichy and then
take a peek in the Mouin Rouge near Place Blanche.
If you're a "foodie," you'll have several choices: On rue Caulaincourt, you'll a smattering of everything: an
excellent chocolate shop, a small neighborhood wine shops, cheese, boulangeries and lots of little cafes. You'll
also find the Franprix supermarket just downstairs, one door away! On nearby rue Damremont, you'll find the
well-known
Delmontel boulangerie/paitisserie just up the street as well as many other local traiteurs with ready-
to-go French treats. Or, you can head over to rue Lepic and stock up on fresh food on this charming street made
famous by the movie "Amelie," where you'll find fresh fish, cheese, baked goods and just about everything else
your hungry mind can imagine. Or head east to the top of rue des Martyrs, a fabulous shopping street described
in a 2005
New York Times article as "a slice of village life" that will "satisfy that perennial desire for discovery." On
Saturday mornings, you can also head west at Place de Clichy on Boulevard des Batignolles to the organic food
market. Let your taste buds lead the way and find your neighborhood favorites.
If you're traveling with kids: This is a great apartment for families. The immediate neighborhood is filled with
families and the building is generally quiet at night. The third bedroom faces onto a courtyard (not the street), so
quiet for the little ones in your travel party. There are several small parks through the 18th, and of course the
merri-go-rounds at Place des Abbesses and Sacre Coeur are always a hit with the kiddos.

Hop on the Metro
This apartment is located near the Lamarck-Caluaincourt metro stop on the Line 12. You can also walk about
five-minutes downhill and find the
Line 13 at Place de Clichy. The 12 line heads north further into romantic
Montmartre or south to the Musée d'Orsay and the chic seventh arrondissement.
Line 13 will take you south to
the Champs Elysees and Les Invalides or north to the famous Marché aux Puces and the unforgettable St. Denis
Basilica.

Don't Miss the Bus
This apartment is well served by two excellent buses, the 95 bus and 80 bus - and both run every day of the
week until around midnight. Pick up the 95 and head south to the Louvre and onto St. Germain des Pres. On
Saturdays and Sundays, take it to the end of the line, Porte de Vanves, and check out a great flea market! The
80 will take you across the river Seine at Pont De L’Alma and stops within a short walk to one of the world’s most
popular attractions, the Eiffel Tower. Just a bit farther south, the 80 line runs next to the impressive Invalides.

Meet the Owners
This apartment was purchased as the Parisian home-base for American couple Doug and Sandra and their
daughter. These world travelers have had a lifetime of adventures all over the world, but have chosen Paris as
their second home, and we think you'll find it quite homey and comfortable during your travels. Like most
Americans, their busy jobs keep them away from rue Caulaincourt more than they'd like, and so they have
chosen to share it with travelers who they hope will come to love it as much as they do.
