Step outside the apartment and you'll find your new neighborhood to lively, convenient, funky and increasingly trendy. The neighborhood is easy to navigate and you have several modern grocery stores making it easy to purchase the essentials for feeling at home in the apartment.
If you cross the boulevard, you'll enter the 9th arrondissement and the small street just across leads to the sweet little park at Square Berlioz, along with an excellent boulangerie across the street. Take a 5-minute walk north you'll find yourselves in Montmartre on the market street rue Lepic and cafes and shopping on rue des Abesses. A two-minute walk in either directly also leads you to two different metro stops (Blanche or Place de Clichy) and several bus stops (74, 68, 80, 95, 30, 54) which will take you anywhere in Paris quickly and easily.
You have everything you need nearby and the neighborhood is generally open everyday so you can shop on Sunday and even holidays!
The Monoprix supermarket is located right by the Blanche metro stop at Place Blanche. The supermarket is downstairs, while the bakery/prepared food counter, clothing, cosmetics and household items are on street level. The smaller Franprix supermarket is located on rue Vintimille. Walk out the door of the apartment to your left, staying on the same side of the street, and make a left at the corner. For your morning baguette and other baked goods, walk out the door to your left to one of two excellent bakeries - Del Montel is just a few doors away! For fresh food shopping, head up the hill on rue Lepic for the cheese, meat, fish, chocolate, wine and much more! On Saturday mornings, head to Place de Clichy and Boulevard de Batignolles for the weekly organic market.

Karin is an American who has been in Paris for decades. She raised her daughter in this apartment, but has now moved on to a new phase of her life and to a new apartment. She loves this Parisian home so much she wouldn't dare part with it, and prefers to allow travelers to share one of her favorite spots in Paris!
